Description : Shanghai Museum of Public Security records the historical development of police agencies in Shanghai since the establishment in 1854. It highlights the period since June 2, 1949 when Shanghai Municipal People’s Government was built, showcasing the achievements the police has made in fighting against crimes, protecting social construction and maintaining stability. The museum collects more than 18,000 public security (police) exhibits at home and abroad from the late Qing Dynasty, among which there are 49 pieces (sets) state-level cultural relics.
