Wuhaogou LNG station welcomes 100th natural gas ship

The Wuhaogou LNG station in the Pudong New Area welcomed the 100th ship carrying natural gas last week, Shanghai Gas Group said on Thursday.

The station has received 1.65 million tons of natural gas since 2008 and supplied almost 1 billion cubic meters of gas to the city.

The continuous drab days since December last year have kept the city’s demand for natural gas at a high level. The daily output of natural gas reached 41.05 million cubic meters on December 28, putting pressure on Shanghai Gas Group.

After the modification in 2017, 29 ships docked at the station with LNG, double compared with the number of ships last year.
