Light exhibition adds a splash of color to the New Year

A magic light exhibition blending the traditional Spring Festival flavor and modern art will officially kick off on Monday on the Bund.

The show "Wonderland of The Lights" will run through February 22 at the north square of the Bund Finance Center (BFC) as well as Renmin Road and Fengjing Road sections between the Bund and Yuyuan garden.

It features a 4-meter-high pink pig named UNA to celebrate the Year of the Pig and a wonderland paradise with a variety of light installations, presenting a feast for the eyes.

Traditional light culture is combined with modern sound, light and shadow technologies in the exhibition.

At the sky garden on the top floor of BFC, the Counter Sky Garden installation created by a Japanese artist features 300 twinkling LED lights showing numbers from 1 to 9. The inspiration was drawn from the stories of 300 Shanghai residents.

A weekend bazaar is hosted at BFC every weekend, featuring various items related with the Spring Festival.
