The current sticky dampness is expected to recede this afternoon with the skies remaining overcast or cloudy, weathermen said.

According to Shanghai Meteorological Bureau, the remainder of this work week will be mostly cloudy but it will be raining again at the weekend.

Today the city will see some drizzle in the morning with a dry but cloudy afternoon. Temperatures will fluctuate from 7 to 10 degrees Celsius.

From today another cold front will hit the city which will press the high down to below 10 degrees tomorrow and Thursday with the mercury ranging from 3 to as much as 9 degrees.

We will warm up a bit at the weekend with the high returning to the teens. Friday will see a high of 12 degrees and a low of 5.

On Saturday the miserable rain will return to the city with a high of 13 and a low of 8.
