A city illuminated

2018-11-02

A woman takes pictures of flowers and lighting on Century Avenue in Shanghai yesterday. Lighting has given a vibrant and ambient look to the Pudong New Area ahead of the China International Import Expo, which opens next week. The Century Avenue greenbelt has been decorated with more than 8,000 square meters of flowers. The illumination covers flowerbeds, green landscapes, cultural landmarks and buildings along the avenue.

The iconic sundial sculpture, designed in the style of ancient timepiece, on the roundabout near the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum is decked up in pink and purple light.
